Daughter of Phillip and Mary Gass Male, Mildred was a lifelong area resident and was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. She was also a graduate of Child Hospital Nursing School. She was a lifetime member of The Niskayuna Reformed Church. Mildred was also a member of the Niskayuna Grange. Mildred was employed with The Town of Niskayuna, Sunnyview Hospital, the former Wallaces and Dow Nursing Home. Mildred enjoyed the outdoors. Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Tryon Sr.; and her sister, Katherine Freligh. Survivors include her three children, her sister, Gladys Hawthorne, six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
