1830 census lists a count of 3 sons under age 5 plus the 2 adults between 20 and 30.

Son Ballard b-~1849 died before 1860 - no grave found
Son Phillip according to 1850 census age 12 - no grave found

An article from the Beckley Post dated Aug 26 1950 states that Jeremiah and Nancy had 12 sons and 2 daughters. I've found the 10 of the 12 sons and both daughters but it goes on to say that some of the childrens names of Jeremiah and Nancy were "William, Thomas, James, Lewis, John, Daniel, Anthony, Phillip, Liza, Rufus, and Preston"

I can find nothing that Lewis, John, Daniel, or Liza existed unless they were secondary or nick names. Birth certificates/census information exist for Ballard and Phillip.

That same article says that Nancy lived to be 104 and died in 1909 but I can't find that she was living at the time of the 1900 census and the headstone says she died in 1900.
