Mrs. Doney was born in Codys, New Brunswick, and had resided in Calgary for 32 years. She was a member of the Hillhurst Baptist church and of the mission circle of the church. She also taught Sunday school in connection with the church.
Mrs. Doney was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hetherington of Codys, and a sister of the late Hon. Dr. Judson E. Hetherington of Codys.
Her husband Charles Henry Doney, died in Calgary in 1939, and a daughter, Mrs. Ethel May Pierce, died in Calgary in May, 1937. Her son, Chester was killed in action with the R.A.F. during the last war.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Florence H. Soper of Athabasca, Alberta; a brother, Arthur, of Codys, and a grandson, Theodore Lacey of Chicago.
