Royce Wesley Lingold, 80, died Wednesday in a local hospital. A lifelong resident of Baldwin County, he was a retired lieutenant for the Central State Hospital Fire Department. He was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Hilda Sanders Lingold of Milledgeville; children, Clara Kittle, Barbara Huff, Dorothy Brown, Sharon Moore, Lane Lingold, Carl Lingold and Robert Sanders, all of Milledgeville; sisters and brothers, Gladys McCoy, Eva Hornsby, Clemon Lingold, Leonard Lingold and A.W. Lingold, all of Milledgeville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Williams Memorial Chapel, Milledgeville. Burial will be in Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Roy Kittle will officiate. The family may be contacted at the residence.
