"Weedsport - Kenneth L. Weller, 83, of East Brutus Street Road died Friday at his home.
A Native of Warners, Mr. Weller lived in the Weedsport area since 1933. He retired in 1973 after 40 years as a dairy farmer. Mr. Weller served as a town of Brutus councilman from 1970 to 1985 and was instrumental in the building of the new town highway department garage. He was a graduate of Warners High School and a 1930 graduate of Morrisville Agricultural and Technical College. His wife, the former Mildred Abbott, died in 1987.
Mr. Weller was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Weedsport, Old Brutus Historical Society, the Weedsport Senior Citizens and the Cayuga County Farm Bureau. He was a former president of the local Dairymen's League Co-operative. He bowled in several bowling leagues.
Surviving are five sons, Raymond and Allen, both of Jordan, Stanley of Walworth and Gordon and Edwin, both of Weedsport; four sister, Lucy Hendrix of Camillus, Doris Vile of Marietta and Dorothy "Adelaide" Brooks and Elenor Dattellas, both of Baldwinsville; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Presbyterian Church of Weedsport. Spring burial will be in Weedsport Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Jewell Funeral Home, 8886 S. Seneca St.
