Tony G. James, Sr., 77, of Clute passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 in Houston. He was born March 11, 1937 to
Chester and Anita James in Featherston, Oklahoma. Tony came to the area in 1955. He was a member of the Baptist Church, Lake Jackson Masonic Lodge #1317, and Velasco # 220 Order of the Eastern Star. Tony was a football official for junior high thru college level for twenty-five years. He also loved fishing and hunting. Tony also sang at many churches where he ministered throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tonya Smith and son-in-law Greg Smith, granddaughter, Alicia Neumer, and sister Bonnie James.
