The younger of two sons born to Edwin Post Sr. and Emily (Price) Post. Bruce Post followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, Bruce Price, to become a renown architect. As a member of the Beaux-Arts Institute of Design, he designed The New Colonial Hotel in the Bahamas. Never married, he celebrated his 32nd birthday with his mother in early February. He died at the end of the month due to an appendicitis.
