Born on January 17, 1922 in Sandlick, she was the daughter of the late John and Etta Wykle Phipps.
Mrs. Durham was a former cook at the Greyhound Bus Terminal in Beckley for over 30 years, and was a member of the Church of God Family Worship Center.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell Tyree, Harold Daniel, and Charles Durham. She was also preceded in death by children, Etta Marie Daniel, Peggy Marie Daniel, and Talmadge Ward Daniel.
Surviving children, Joyce Condia of Nashville N.C., Donald Tyree and his wife Gilda of Daniels, Lyle Tyree and his wife Bonnie of Fairfield, Ohio, Carol Bryant of Beckley, Linda Kincaid of Shady Spring, and Johnny Daniel of Yadkinville, N.C.
A sister, Othlene Eppard of Richmond, Virginia, 20 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Thursday September 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Stacy Dingess officiating.
Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at Prosperity. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Steve Kincaid, Jeff Sweeney, Lyle Tyree, Jerry Sweeney, Justin Sweeney, and Denny Tyree.
