Born April 5, 1903, to Frank and Alice Craig Stephens, at Council Grove, she grew up in Council Grove and moved to Dodge city in 1930. She married Albert P. Barnes Jan 23, 1931, at Garden City. The couple lived all their married life in Dodge City. He died Aug 12, 1983, Mrs. Barnes was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dodge City, and had been active in PTA during the years her children attended school.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Swaim Funeral Home, the Rev. C. Daine Watters officiating. Entombment will be at Scroggins Memorial Mausoleum, Maple Grove Cemetery.
