GOLIAD - Bertha Sue King Perkins went to be with the Lord on Friday September 12, 2014. Sue was born on August 12, 1949 in Aransas Pass, TX to Alvin Eugene King and Bertha Mae Chandler King.
She grew up and attended High School in Aransas Pass, TX. She married her best friend Doyle Edward Perkins, Sr. on June 16, 1967. She devoted her life to being a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and researching family history. In the past few years she enjoyed spending time on social media and posting her thoughts and prayers. Every night friends and family would look forward to reading her nightly prayers which always included words of wisdom.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, her parents, Mother and Father in law Houston and Pearlie Perkins; one son-in-law Johnny Leo Gage; Uncles, Jimmy Chandler, John Henry Chandler, Jake Chandler, James Lewis King, Aunts Doris Pendagraf, Margie Gole, Gladys King, and Sissy King, one niece Johnnie Viola Chandler Boaz, one nephew Rodney Rucker. Among her many surviving jewels of the heart are Son, Rusty (Hope) Perkins; daughters Missy Perkins, Connie (Leif) Olson, and Brittany (Travis) Baker. Brother Alvin (Cindy) King Jr. and sisters Sharon (Wick) Neely, and Dianne King. Brother-in-law Marvin (Sandy) Goodman; Sue has eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.
