Dr. Marx, who was born in Toledo, left here many years ago. He received his higher education in Amsterdam, Holland, and was a graduate of Cornell University. Mr. Marx participated in engineering work on the Golden Gate Bridge, Boulder Dam and many other large projects. He was a professor emeritus of civil engineering at Stanford University.
Surviving are his brother, Dr. Guido Marx, professor emeritus of machinery design at the university; sisters, Mrs. Frederick Will and Mrs. C. W. Curtis, Rochester, N.Y., and two daughters.
