Beware of the Low Shoulder signs on the highway! T.W. was killed when his mother was hit head on by a car after overcompensating from trying to return to the road after running off the low shoulder. Fortunately, he did not suffer. His mother, Edith Carol Willis Burns, almost met the same fate, but she now has to live with the scars and the memory of her youngest son dying on that fateful day. Again God protects us because she was knocked unconscious and did not see him. He is missed dearly by his parents, and his two sisters, Gina and Sandra, and his brother, Steve, his grandparents, Harry and Mildred Nadine (Dean) Mahon Vincent. He lies next to my mother and father, Napoleon Bonaparte Adaway and Daisy Lucille Mahon Adaway, his great aunt and uncle, and my niece, Kimberly Michelle Adaway, in the cemetery, so they can all have someone there and not be alone during their eternal rest.

T.W.

He was special to Mom,
To all of us as well,
The day the Angels came,
Our hopes and dreams fell.

It happened so quickly,
Was the only happy thought,
On that cold, lonely highway,
Such sadness his death brought.

He was taken to Heaven,
Of that there's no doubt,
The ones there are blessed,
As we struggle without.

But as he looks down upon us,
He knows of our love,
Our sweet Angel T.W.,
Residing with our Savior Above.
