Ann "Nancy" Andrews was the daughter of Ephraim Andrews of Virginia. She married Benjamin Bugg, son of John Bugg, September 3, 1785, in Mecklenburg county. Both Ephraim Andrews and John Bugg were patriots of the American Revolution having provided supplies.

Along with her father, Ephraim Andrews, Nancy and her husband migrated to Williamson County, Tennessee where they were among the earliest settlers.

Several children were born to Benjamin and Nancy: Elizabeth (Pinkston), Rebecca (Young), Ephraim M., Polly (Young), Lucy (Kyle), Sally, and Patsy Bugg. Records dated 1810 document that Benjamin had 107 acres at Overalls Cr.

Ephraim Andrews passed in 1808. Benjamin Bugg, and Nancy's brother, Knacy Andrews, were appointed administrators. However, Benjamin Bugg passed before the will could be probated.

Benjamin Bugg died in 1813. Nancy Andrews Bugg, his wife, Ephraim M. Bugg, her son, and David Pinkston, son-in-law, served as administrators of Benjamin's estate.

Records reflect indicate that Nancy was able to keep the largest portion of assets. Ephraim M. Bugg, by agreeing to maintain a Negro woman and four children for a specified period, received the second largest. Records dated 1813 indicate that Ephraim also received his father's 107 acres at Overalls Cr. "by deed."
