OBITUARY

Deloys Arbuckle, 81, died Monday, September 8, 2014, at his Home in Oxford, MS.

The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Bramlett Officiating.
Burial will follow in Pine Flat Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday Evening, September 10, 2014, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Waller Funeral Home.

Born in Yalobusha County, MS, to the late William Nathaniel and Opal Simmons Arbuckle, Mr. Arbuckle was a Member of Pine Flat United Methodist Church and Owner/Operator of Arbuckle Sodding and Seeding for 30 Years.

He helped Facilitate the Activation of the Lafayette County Fire Department and was very Active in the Civil Defense. Mr. Arbuckle Enjoyed being Involved in Community Activities with the Elderly and Young Children, including Helping to Build the Veterans Administration Park in Oxford.

He Served his Country during the Korean War Achieving the Rank of Army Staff Sergeant.

Along with his Parents, he was preceded in death by his Wives, Ada Victoria Tidwell Arbuckle and Gerda Pickett Arbuckle; and four Brothers, William Nathaniel Arbuckle, Charles K. Arbuckle, Robert Arbuckle and Nathaniel Arbuckle.

Mr. Arbuckle is survived by his Daughter, Opal Arbuckle Watts and Husband, Pat of Oxford, MS; three Sons, John Dale Arbuckle; Alma Dwight Arbuckle and Wife, Barbara; and Tony Nathaniel Arbuckle and Wife, Jennifer; all of Oxford, MS; four Sisters, Nathalene Dempsy of Water Valley, MS; Rose Birdene McElroy of Decatur, AL; Joyce Ann Bryant of Water Valley, MS; and Neva Sharron Surette of Oxford, MS; two Brothers, Perry D. Arbuckle of Oxford, MS; and Darrall Arbuckle of Coffeeville, MS; and eight Grandchildren; Ryan Watts, Sam Watts, Riley Arbuckle, JonVictor Arbuckle, Jacob Arbuckle, Christopher Arbuckle, Brittany Arbuckle and Nathaniel Arbuckle, all of Oxford, MS.

Memorial Contributions in Mr. Arbuckle's Memory may be made to Pine Flat Cemetery Fund, 40 County Road 422, Water Valley, MS 38965.

In Honor Of Mr. Arbuckle's Service To His Country, The Flag Of The United States Army Will Be Flown At Waller Funeral Home.
