Daniel P. Ziegler Sr., 58, of Coopersburg, formerly of Quakertown, died Monday, November 23, 2009 in his home. He was the husband of Bonnie A. (Koenig) Ziegler. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on November 8. Born in Allentown he was the son of Patricia (Heller) Mackey of Trumbauersville and the late Ervin Ziegler. He was last employed as a welder for the former Mack Truck in Allentown. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Quakertown. Daniel was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a member of the Branch Valley, Great Swamp and Souderton-Harleysville Fish and Game Associations. Survivors: In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by a son Daniel, Jr.; and companion Carrie Capps of Coopersburg; a brother Rickey of Perkasie; and sister in law Cindy Ziegler of Ottsville; his step-father Bill Mackey. He was predeceased by his brother Tim. He will also be missed by his dog Shaq. Services: Services will be held on Saturday, November 28, at 11 a.m. in The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 821 W.
