The area of Blue Church Cemetery, directly across Applebutter Hill Road from the church building, is limited to the section from the comer of Blue Church and Applebutter Hill roads up to the paved entrance to the cemetery and only as far back as a grassy lane bordered by large, overgrown arborvitaes or cedars. This section is marked on the corners with stone columns. All other area on the lower level belongs to Woodland Cemetery Association.
Cemetery History - As St. Paul's Blue Church congregation grew, the old cemetery became inadequate and in 1833 the congregation acquired a rectangular lot located directly across from the church. In August, 1873 the remaining area surrounding the 1833 lot and going up the hill was incorporated as Woodland Cemetery Association. Members of both St. Paul's Blue Church and St. John's Coopersburg were buried in Woodland Cemetery. In the 1930's St. Paul's again acquired additional burial ground located behind the church. This is referred to as the new section.
