Renee Wightman Taylor
1928 - 2014

Early Life: Reneé was born on January 13, 1928, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ned Leroy and Edna Delores Peterson Wightman in her grandmother’s house. She grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah, with her siblings Joe and Brent.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: On June 29, 1949, Reneé was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to her sweetheart, Rex Taylor. They survived sixty-five years of marital bliss. Some of Reneé’s greatest joys were raising her children and grandchildren, interacting with the youth in her community and watching her grandchildren play sports. Her “Top Hat and Chocolate Chip Cookies” could never be beat. In her later years, she was best known for eating a plain cheeseburger from the local Burger King. It was her vice in life. Her enthusiasm and love throughout her life for the youth, as well as, neighbors and friends has been returned three fold in her later years. She received visits from youth far and near just to let her know how she had changed their lives for the better. Because of her love for people, neighbors and dear friends, they never forgot her. Whether it be a visit, a meal, or in their thoughts, she has always held them close to her heart. Reneé Wightman Taylor passed away peacefully on September 8, 2014. She was 86.
Family Message: "The family would like to thank the loving and caring people at the University of Utah Dialysis Center in Payson, Utah and Brio Home Health for their kindness, as well as the many doctors, nurses, therapists and care givers who have chosen their field of work to be there for our mom and sweet wife."
Survived By: Her husband, Rex Taylor; her daughters: Wendy Schwartz and Jill Jacobson; brothers: Joe Wightman (Marilyn) of Fort Myers, FL; and Brent Wightman (Carol), Salt Lake City.
Preceded In Death By: Her parents and son, Blair Taylor.
