Mr. Henri was born on May 28, 1920 to John and Selvina (Lamoureux) Henry in Island Pond, Vermont where he grew up and attended local schools. After he finished school he was employed by the Canadian National Railway and as a lumberjack, which he did until he enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II. After completing his enlistment he went to work as a machinist and welder at Tennford Weaving in Sanford where he was employed until he retired in 1982.
Mr. Henri was very talented at fixing and building things, even building his own home along with his brothers. After retiring, he liked to keep himself busy by doing odd jobs around his house and also for family and friends. He was an avid vegetable gardener and enjoyed going hunting when he was younger. He was a loving and devoted uncle. He was almost like a second father to many of his nieces and nephews and always enjoyed spending time with them at family gatherings. Mr. Henri enjoyed playing the fiddle. When he was young he would often play music with his brothers who would accompany him on the guitar, harmonica and the spoons. He will be remembered for his love of nature and for his generosity and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Henri was predeceased by his parents, six siblings, Irene Miller, Reginald Henry, Alfred Henry, Norman Henry, Robert Henry and Edna Boucher, two step-brothers and a step-sister.
Surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
