Billy Wade Robbins 1944-2009 Bill Robbins, longtime Scurry County
resident, died Sunday, Dec. 6, in Dallas Medical Center while awaiting a heart
transplant. Service for Mr. Robbins, 65, is set for 4:15 p.m. Wednesday in the
Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hermleigh
Cemetery. Born Oct. 11, 1944 in Brownfield, he moved to Hermleigh in 1949
and was a 1962 graduate of Hermleigh High School. A Baptist, Mr. Robbins
owned and operated Bill's Paint and Body Shop for more than 25 years and was a
former member of the Snyder Kiwanis Club. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Harry and Faye Bishop Robbins; Three brothers, Harold, Troy,
Alvie and Garvin Robbins. A sister, Geenita Sturdivant. Survivors include his
wife, Darlene Robbins of Snyder; a son, Brad Robbins of Snyder; and two
daughters, Lisa Harris of Snyder and Kelly Miller of Crowley; a brother, Ted
Robbins of Lubbock; two sisters Wanda Angle and Betty Ramos of California: nine
grandchildren, Brandon Robbins, Meagen Robbins, Joshua Hoover, Caedra Robbins,
Skyler Harris, Tanner Miller, Emily Harris, Maddy Harris and Darla Robbins; and
one great-granddaughter, Romi. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday
at the funeral home
