COLUMBIA (--) Memorial services for Thelma Hartley Davis, 70, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at the Chapel of Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, with the Rev. Robert Shafer officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Davis died Saturday, March 31, 2001. Born in Langley, she was a daughter of the late M.J. and Maude Chavis Hartley. She retired from the Fort Jackson Credit Union. She was a former member of Rosewood Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Herman R. Davis of Columbia; son, Kenneth L. Davis of Matthews, N.C., brothers, Randolph Hartley, Walterboro, Gene Hartley, Carl Hartley and Stanley Hartley, all of Columbia; grandchildren, Elizabeth Dawn Davis, Michelle Leah Davis and Kristina Lee Davis. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald L. Davis; brothers, Harvey Hartley, Billy Hartley, Olan Hartley and M.J. Hartley; sister, Eva Mae Holman.
