Pervis Estle Barnes, 75, of Route 2, Decherd, A retired A. R. O. machinist, died October 25 at Methodist Hospital of Middle Tennessee after a lengthy illness.
A native of Mississippi, he was born August 4, 1912 to Ordie Barnes and Ludie Taylor Barnes. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, at Watson-Gamble Chapel with Bro. Eugene Garner officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Tipps of St. Petersburg, Florida, Mrs. Marjorie Parham of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and Mrs. Anne Jones of Estill Springs; a sister, Mrs. Marvis Zee of Tucson, Arizona; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
