Jackie C. Mott Sr. (1930 - 2014)

Jackie C. Mott Sr., age 84, and the owner of Mott Sign Corp. passed away at his home in Valparaiso, Fla. on Sept. 4, 2014. He was born on March, 14, 1930, in Montgomery, Ala. to Hosea and Ella Mae Mott. Mr. Mott was a War Eagle fan and graduated from Auburn University. He was a musician and enjoyed playing his fiddle. He also enjoyed being with his grandchildren. Mr. Mott is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elaine Mott of Red Level, Ala.; two sons, Jackie Mott Jr. and wife Deniese, and Larry Mott and his wife Kim; as well as, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
There will be a time of visitation held from 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home, with funeral services to begin at 5 p.m. with Rev. Luke Armstrong officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Mott Church of Christ Cemetery in Red Level.
