Katherine A. (Baker) Strausbaugh, 95, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at The Brethren Home Community, New Oxford. She was the wife of Robert L. Strausbaugh, who died December 4, 1973.

Katherine was born June 20, 1919, in Abbottstown, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Bessie (Myers) Baker. Katherine was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Abbottstown.

Katherine is survived by two daughters, Joyce M. Myers of Lewisberry, and Gloria M. Sterner and her husband, Thomas of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Michele McCutcheon, Brian Naill, and Tracy Jones; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ralph Baker and Fred Baker, both of Hanover. She was predeceased by a sister, Pearl Rodgers, and a brother, Lester Baker.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 100 E. Water St., Abbottstown, with her pastor, the Rev. Shawn Berkebile, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
