Born November 6, 1926, in Abbottstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Bertha E. (Rodgers) Baker.
Marie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Abbottstown, where she also helped with the Volunteer Circle.
She retired in 1997 from Hanover Direct.
Marie is survived by a son, Timothy E. Alleman and wife, Cynthia of York; daughter, Joan M. Wildasin and husband, Jim of Hanover; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Baker and wife, Ruthetta of Abbottstown, and Carman Baker and wife, Doris of Abbottstown; and two sisters, Miriam Huff and husband, Harold of Abbottstown, and Helen Hagarman and husband, Richard of Hanover.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Ralph, Earl, Mervin, and Merle Baker; and two sisters, Nancy Newcomer and Beatrice Baker.
A memorial service will be held, October 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. from the St. John's Lutheran Church, Abbottstown, with the Rev. Shawn Berkebile officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery. There will be no viewing, however, the family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
