Sioux Falls Jeanne Olson, 62, died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
A memorial visitation will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls with the family present from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at George Boom Funeral Home with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Jeanne Bernard, the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Mansfield) Bernard was born March 27, 1947 in Sioux City, IA. She was raised in Elk Point, SD, where she graduated from high school in 1965.
Jeanne was united in marriage with Kenneth Olson in Vermillion, SD. Jeanne was employed by Goetz, Hirsch & Haar Law firm in Yankton. She then worked in a church office in Sioux Falls for ten years. Jeanne then was employed for the State of South Dakota as a Field Rehabilitation Teacher for the blind and elderly for over 25 years. She retired in 2005, but continued to work part-time for Carolyn K. Dick Law firm.
Jeanne was a past member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Sioux Falls Lioness Club. She enjoyed reading, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret, and a brother, Robert.
