Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on May 9, 1938, Bob was the son of the late Eugene F. Stevens and Gladys Howell Stevens. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War where he served in the Office of Special Investigations. After his retirement from the military, he received his Associate Degrees in Criminal Justice and Business from Florence-Darlington Technical College; and then worked as a private investigator and title abstractor. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Kyle Busch fan, and was a model train enthusiast. Bob attended Hebron Baptist Church in Scranton, SC.
Surviving are his wife, Jennie "Jen" O'Neal Stevens; daughter, Whitney (Bubba) DeMaurice and their children, Hannah and Matthew; daughter-in-law, Stacey Stevens and her daughter, Abby Stevens; many extended family; and his canine companions, Lilly Belle and Mini Lou.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Stevens; son, Scott Stevens; and a daughter, Barbara Stevens.
