PHILIPSBURG- A former resident of Philipsburg, Samuel W. Scaife, 59, died in his home at Plainfield, N.J., Jan 21, of a heart attack.
He was born May 23, 1905, at Spangler, a son of the late William and Rebecca (Walker) Scaife.
He is survived by his widow, the former Harriet Sanfders and by three children to a former marriage: Mrs. James (Patricia) Peoples, Plainfield N.J.; Mrs. Raymond (Lois) Croyle, Lewsitown, N.Y.; and Samuel, Philipsburg. He is also survived by three step-children and the following two brothers and a sister:
William, Philipsburg R.D.; Richard, Brisbin, and Mrs. James Sawtelle, Philipsburg.
Burial was held Jan. 23 at Plainsfield.
