Andrew Kipp Stone was born on December 11, 2013 and gained his wings on September 2, 2014 in his parents arms surrounded by family and friends after battling with Lissencephaly. Andrew is the son of Kipp and Jennifer Stone of Florence, SC. Andrew gave us a lifetime of love during his short time on earth. He was loved so much by his family, friends, community and everyone that knew him. Andrew enjoyed listening to music, being held close by family and friends, and he enjoyed the outside. He filled many hearts with smiles and a richness that is indescribable. He was an answer to our prayers 9 weeks early prematurity he was clearly a fighter from the very beginning. Andrew touched so many lives and will forever be “our little man”.

He is survived by his parents Kipp & Jennifer Stone and his little brother Jake Stone, grandparents Mrs. Debra Lane & Mr. Bo Griggs, Mr & Mrs.Phil (Sandra) Grimsley and Mr. & Mrs Sammie (Barbara) Stone, great grandparents Mrs. Frances Lane, Mrs. Miriam Stone Taylor, aunts and uncles, Mr. & Mrs. Don (Samra) Baxley (Johnsonville), Mr. & Mrs. Brian (April) Cockfield (Lake City), Mr. Berkley Feagin (Lake City) Ms. Jessi Grimsley (Lake City), Mr. Phillip Grimsley (Lake City) cousins Ms. Caroline Cockfield (Lake City), Ms. Casey Stone (Florence), and Mr. & Mrs. Barry (Carlie) Baxley.

He is predeceased by his paternal uncle Mr. Chad Stone and Mr. Jeff Lane, paternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs.Troy Brogden, Mr. & Mrs. John “Pres” Grimsley, Mr. Harvey Lane and Mr. Norman Stone.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the caring NICU and PICU nurses at McLeod Regional Medical Center of Florence and the PICU nurses at the Medical University of South Carolina for their love and care. A very special thanks to Nightingale’s nurses who cared in the home for Andrew.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6p.m. - 9p.m. at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 5, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Florence, S.C.
