Sudden Death of Mrs. Spear

Mrs. Mary E. Spear, relict of the late Dr. Spear, died suddenly Friday morning at 10 o'clock at her home, the residence of Mrs. Berryhill, corner Second and Elm streets, of paralysis. She had been in feeble health for some time but had been feeling some better of late and ate her breakfast this morning in apparently very good health. Just before the house above mentioned she went to her room when the fatal attack came upon her. Mrs. Spear was in the 76th year of her age and was a sister of the late Gen. McKee Dunn. She had made her home at the Berryhill residence for several years and was a most estimable lady, loved and respected by all who knew her. The time of the funeral has not yet been decided upon as word will have to be received from distant relatives before definite arrangements can be made.
