SCOTT--February 16th, 1973, Harold Joseph, aged 86 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Lela Scott, 176 Jacques Lodges, passed away in a local hospital, after a brief illness. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, John G. Scott, 132 Hartford Road N.W. and H. Alan Scott, North Hollywood, California; a daughter, Mrs. J.D. (Pauline) MacKenzie, Young, New South Wales, Australia; a brother, W.J. Scott, Calgary; a sister, Mrs. Walter (Georgina) Phillips, High River, Alta; nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret (Peggy) Scott in 1942, and three brothers, R.W. Scott, Fred Scott and Frank Scott.
Born at Battleford, Sask., Mr. Scott had lived in Calgary since 1899. He was the manager of the Queen's Hotel, retiring in 1960. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, a long time member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 1186, and the Old Timers Association. He was a past director of the Alberta Hotel Association.
