Edward E. "Gene" Stover, 73, of Tiffin, died at 12:42 a.m., Friday, January 18, 2013 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. Gene was born on November 7, 1939 in Rural Republic, to the late Ralph and Marie (Williams) Stover. He married Kathleen (Huffman) and they later divorced. She survives in Tiffin. Survivors include his daughter, Ashleigh (Scott) Gilbert of Tiffin, step-children, Lori Brisendine, Michelle Vaughn, Amy Crist all of Tiffin, eleven grandchildren, two brothers, Donald Stover of rural Old Fort and John Stover of Melbourne, Fl. Gene retired from Atlas Crankshaft. He enjoyed OSU, sports of all kinds and just spending time with his grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Stover and a sister, Joan Stuckey. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory in Tiffin. There will be no visitation held at this time. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Pleasant Ridge cemetery with military honor's being rendered by the United Veterans Council. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in c/o the Engle-Shook Funeral Home, 135 North Washington Street, Tiffin, OH 44883.
