Jill, 61, of Clare, passed away on Saturday, August 30, at MidMichigan Medical Center in Clare. She was the daughter of Ralph and Doris (Ramey) Ackerman.
She married Alan R. Marshall on June 3, 1977 in Clare and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2005. Jill was a member of the Clare United Methodist Church. She had been a second grade teacher in the Farwell Schools for 20 years, retiring in Oct. 2012. Her latest hobby was "Grandbabies".
Survivors include her daughters, Katie (Jason) Jenkins of Coleman and Kristie Murray (Klint Bailey) of Clare, her four grandchildren, Alyssa & Kyle, and Henry & Max.
Along with her husband, Al, she was preceded in death by her mother and father, her mother and father in-law, her brother Joseph Ackerman, sister-in-law Kim Ackerman, and brother in-law Raymond "Buck" Marshall.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Sept. 4, from the Clare United Methodist Church with Pastor John Kasper officiating.
