Wauneda M. Bowland, 87, Peru, passed away at 4:57 a.m. on Friday, March 3, 2006 at her residence.
She was born on August 17, 1918 in Lafayette to F.C. and Dora (Fites) Cleland. She married Joseph Cunningham, who preceded her in death in 1965. On September 21, 1968 she married Meredith Bowland in Peru, and he preceded her in death on August 5, 2004.
The 1937 graduate of Mexico High School was employed at W.C. Redmon in 1969 and was a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Peru.
Bowland is survived by granddaughter, Rebecca Burkhardt and husband Alan, Denver; grandson, Jack David Cunningham and wife Paula, Peru; stepson, Steve Bowland and wife Sylvia, Fresno, California; great-grandsons, David Burkhardt and Jon Burkhardt, both of Denver, and Joseph Cunningham, Peru; step-granddaughter, Heather Bowland, Indianapolis; sister, Alta Noack, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents; and both husbands; she was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Cleland; a sister, Lidia Kenay; and step-son, Jack Cunningham.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Monday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, Peru, with Pastor David Jodry officiating.
Visitation will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 2 to 5 p.m.
Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery, Amboy.
