Myrtle Elizabeth Smith McCormick, died Friday, November 15, 1996, at the home of her son, in Lehi. She as born to Asa and Rosa McClure Smith on March 22. 1915, in Des Moines, Iowa, and was one of seven children. She marrrried and had six sons.
With her family, she settled in Utah in 1962. She was emploved at the Utah Slate Training School 20 years. She enjoyed knitting, going to the mall, and the Pleasant Grove Senior Citizens Center, and eating at McDonalds. She attended the Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove every Sunday. In 1991, she became ill and moved in with her son Bill. Her daughter-in-law, Teresa, and her granddaughter, Tracy, did much to care for their grandmother over these past few years.
She is survived by six sons: Carl Fox, Dale Fox, Roy McCormick, Bill McCormick, David McCormick, Gary McCormick; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services Wednesday, November 20, 1996, in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
