He was a Sargent in the Army Air Force and was honorable discharged on November 4, 1945. Owen worked in Seattle, Washington for many years as a bookkeeper which gave him opportunities to spend summers in Alaska. He also lived and worked in Mt. Vernon, Washington.
Owen loved to travel, especially taking cruises. He enjoyed doing jig-saw puzzles, being outdoors, playing bridge, and music. He was a community minded individual; serving as a commander of the local VFW and American Legion, Grand Master of the Faulkton Masonic Lodge and was a member of the United Church of Faulkton. Owen loved being around children; and enjoyed watching birds and dogs. He will be remembered for having a good sense of humor and living life to the fullest.
He is survived by his sister; brother; son; three nieces; several cousins; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
