Mr. Abrams, a native of Burke County, was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include eight sons, Mathis Abrams Jr., Linsey Abrams, Larry Farmer, Johnny Farmer, John Dukes, Charlie McKelton, Fred Young and Roger Evans; six daughters, Ocie Walker, Casandra Williams, Theresa Williams, Deloris Williams, Josie Jenkins and Essie Mae Young; a brother, Odell Abrams; four sisters, Mattie Haynes, Mabel Ward, Julia Haynes and Carrie Abrams; and 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
