Nell Rose Wood, 88, of Bryant, passed away on August 28, 2014. She was born in New Edinburgh, Arkansas to William David and Addie Belle Daniel Attwood.

She was a faithful member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church which she dearly loved. She attended Draughon’s School of Business. She worked for Fordyce Lumber Company, Forrest City Schools, Levi Strauss and Sunset Lane Baptist Church Daycare.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Randolph Wood, Sr., brother, David Attwood, and sisters, Louise Sledd, Mary Taylor and Gladys McManus.

Nell is survived by one son, one daughter, one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening, September 2 from 6-8 p.m. at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.

Services will be Wednesday, September 3 at 11 a.m. at the church, officiated by Rev. Paul Sanders, followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

Memorials may be made to the Geyer Springs First Baptist Church Building Fund, 12400 Interstate-30, Little Rock, AR 72210 or to the Freehouse Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 226, Fordyce, Arkansas.
