Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser

Frank James Whittle, 73, of Wichita, Kan., died Oct. 29, 1982, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita of a heart attack. He was born in Miller County and was raised by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wright. His mother died in childbirth.

He attended Tuscumbia schools. Mr. Wright was married to Helen Rodden, who survives at the home.

Other survivors include one daughter, Betty Dunlap of Wichita; two half-brothers, Bill Whittle of Senora, Calif., and Bobby Whittle of Wichita; three half-sisters, Opal Richardson and Lorene Miller of Blackburn, Okla., and Bethel MacIntosh of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A son, Donald Whittle and a daughter, Katherine Mounts, preceded him in death.

Services were held Nov. 1 at the Old Mission Mortuary. Burial was in the Park Cemetery in Wichita.

Those attending from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Lunday Bailey and Ruby Ballenger of Brumley, Mabel Woolery and Ron Kingery of Eldon, Larry Kingery of Barnett and Shirley Burnett of Jefferson City.
