Perry K. Wright (Kib) went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 after a brief battle with liver cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Thelma Gant Wright. Born of this marriage were two daughters, Barbara Scannell and her husband, Joe of Wilmington, NC and Deborah (Deby) and her partner, Marsha Harbin of Hoover, Alabama, two grand dogs, Bama Bryant and Tide. Family of choice: Kathy Gant Wondell, sister in law of Scottsboro, first cousins Billy Jack Brewster and his wife, Joyce, of Owens Cross Road, Al., George and Cywilla Fabijanic, of Birmingham, AL., Howell Horn of Columbiana, AL, Alda Prosser, Gene and Nancy Miller, Bob and Dixie Washington beloved friends all of Scottsboro, daughter of choice, Shirley Miller and her husband, Hal. Perry’s family of origin surviving him is: his brother, Howard Wright of Scottsboro, sisters Bonnie Allison Henneger of Stevenson and Juanita Wright Powell of Hollywood. Sister in law: Irene Precise Wright.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur (Cracker) and Donie Mae Chandler Wright, sister, Ola Wright, brother, Homer T. Wright, brother in laws, Charles (Chuck) Wondell. Bobby Allison, Bobby Powell and Arthur Henneger and sister in law Nina Wright and a host of friends.
Burial will be in Pine Haven Memorial Gardens.
