Mrs. Theresa Eckel, aged 68 years, died at her home, 1300 West Second Street, at 7:35 o'clock Wednesday morning.

She was born on November 29, 1839. She was united in marriage 48 years ago (April 19, 1862 in Belleville) with Peter Eckel.

Besides her husband, she leaves the following children: Frieda, wife of Louis J. Kuntz, Anna, wife of T. J. Price, Rosa Eckel, John Eckel and Charles T. Eckel, of East St. Louis. She also leaves six grandchildren.

The funeral takes place at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon to Walnut Hill Cemetery.
