Norma Jean Snowden was lifted into the arms of the Lord that she loved on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Norma was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 15, 1930 to Charles Edward Snowden and Chloe Loretta (Miller) Snowden.

She was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army. Norma was an active volunteer in her church. She loved attending Salvation Army Camp each year and she loved listening to church music. Norma had a wonderful sense of humor and she loved to laugh. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brothers Wilbur Snowden, Charles Edward Snowden, Robert Snowden, and William Richard ("Pal") Snowden.

She is survived by her sisters Celia Ann Arbogast and Mary Strome, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in her memory be made to the West Mound Street Corps of the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 23510, Columbus, OH 43223. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11am Friday, August 29, 2014 at the West Mound Street Corps of the Salvation Army, 2300 W. Mound St., Columbus, OH 43204 where family will welcome friends from 9:30am until time of service; interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery; Lieutenants Malcom and Victoria Daniels will preside over services.
