Joe C. Van Den Heuvel

Joe C. Van Den Heuvel, son of Dick Van Den Heuvel and Ma?? Van Den Heuvel, was born November 2, 1872, at H????mer, North Holland, The Netherlands. At an early age he came to America and settled in the Pella area to make his home for the remainder of his lifetime.

On March 18, 19?3 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Bennink at Peoria, Iowa. After leaving the farm he with his wife moved to Pella and in 1938 [?] they came to be residents of the Home for the Aged in Pella. His death came on January 21, 1956 at the Mercy Hospital in Oskaloosa, having reached the age of 83 years, two months, and 19 days.

He has been preceded in death by his wife, ???? brothers and four sisters leaving to mourn his departure several nieces and nephew. He made profession of faith in the Christian Reformed Church and was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church of Pella.

Services were held from the Second Chr Ref Church on Tuesday, January 24, 1956 at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. P. Y. De Jong in charge. Burial was made in Oakwood Cemetery.
