She leaves behind her loving husband of almost 68 years, Harold “Popeye” Freeman, two daughters, Susie Fluharty, and Debby Meadows, both of Farmington, two sons, Michael Freeman of Florida and Mark Freeman of Tucson, Arizona, six grandchildren, Shelby Bland of Bethel, Raymond Fluharty of Robinson Run, Christy Haught of Fairview, Mark, Aubrey and Constance Freeman of Tucson, Arizona, and fifteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, June Allen and Pauline Nelson, a grandson Michael E. Freeman, and a son-in-law Raymond Fluharty, Sr.
Billie was a member of Downs United Methodist Church in Rachel, and a charter member of the Isis Court of Osiris Shrine. She and Popeye spent the last 30 years wintering in Sebring, Florida. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She was never seen without Popeye right beside her. She loved her family, her Lord, cooking and fishing. She also played a mean game of pool and would beat the men. We will miss her sweet smile.
She will be carried home by the young men she loved: Terry Meadows, Raymond Fluharty, Jr., Randy Bland, Cody Bland, Chance Haught and Blake Haught. Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Jones officiating. Interment will be in the WV National Cemetery at Pruntytown.
