Jerry Henshaw, 50, of Centerville, died June 23, 1992, at University Hospital in Iowa City.

He was born in Centerville on July 5, 1941, to Harold and Myrna (Moore) Henshaw. He was united in marriage to Sharon Thomas on Sept. 9, 1962, at the First Baptist Church in Centerville. She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Sherry (Mrs. John) Kauzlarich of Centerville; a son, Brad, also of Centerville; two grandchildren, Jason and Tim Kauzlarich of Centerville; a sister, Evelyn Gardner of Washington; a brother, Gary of Centerville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Deloris Ballanger; and an infant brother, Jack.

He was a 1959 graduate of Centerville High School. He was employed by Blue Flame, Skelgas, Rathbun Rural Water, Anderson Propane and then self-employed as a trucker. he was also a farmer. He was a member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 pm at the Lange Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Heien officiating. Burial will be in the Exline Cemetery. Visitation will be held tonight from 7 until 9 at the Lange Funeral Home. A memorial has been established and may be left at the funeral home.
