McCrady - Leland M. McCrady, aged 36, passed away late Saturday, November 18, 1933. Mr. McCrady who was born in Mississippi, enlisted in the United States Army for service in the World War on October 1917, in Livingston, Mont., and sailed for France with Company D, Twenty-First engineers, L.D., on December 26, 1917. He saw service at Toul. St. Mihiel and in the Argonne, and was honorably discharged on May 19, 1919, returning to the United States in June. Deceased made his home at Alger, Wash. for the past several years and leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Gladys McCrady; two sons Wayne and Franklin; one daughter Lois; also one brother Harold and one sister Mrs. Ruth Farris. The parents Mr. and Mrs. George F. McCrady also survive, residing at Alger. The remains are resting at the Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home from where funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Funeral Notice:
A tragic accident in the fog in Bellingham Saturday night resulted in the death of Leland M. McCrady, 36 of Alger, who drove off the end of a dock into 40 feet of water. The body was recovered several hours later.

McCrady was a Legion man, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. McCrady of Alger. He was born in Mississippi and entered the service from Montana in 1917.

He was married ten years ago and is survived by his wife Gladys, three children, Wayne, Franklin and Lois: a sister Mrs. Ruth Farris of Alger and a brother, Harold McCrady of Bellingham.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from the Walter R. Hulbush Funeral Home, with the American Legion in charge. Rev. O.W. Black acted as chaplain and William Tacey as commander.

Interment was in Burlington cemetery, with Neal Berger, John McDougal, Oscar Manevalm Morris Green, Lester Turk and Jess Sawyer acting as casket bearers.
