Gladys Mae O'Neal Talbert Bowser; 91, Davidsville, formerly of Ursina
and Somerset, died December 22, 2011, at Laurel View Village,
Davidsville, PA. Born April 6, 1920, in Uniontown, PA., the daughter of
Grant Arthur and Irene Laura (Tantlinger) O'Neal. Preceded in death by
her parents, first husband Warren Talbert, and brother Harry O'Neal.
Survived by second husband George Daniel Bowser of Davidsville;
children: Judy Talbert and husband John Goodenough of Pittsburgh, PA.;
Diane Bender and husband William of Sedalia, CO.; and Allen Talbert and
wife Lisa Jacobs of Boyds, MD.; grandchildren: Samantha Griffin and
husband Kurt, and Darby Talbert; stepchildren: Robert Bowser and wife
Judy of Cape Coral, FL.; Stephanie Arrich and husband David of Murphys,
CA.; step grandchildren: Jeffrey Arrich and Jeremy Arrich; Daniel and
David Bowser; and brother Donald O'Neal and wife Elaine of Confluence,
PA. Gladys is a 1938 graduate of Uniontown High School. She was a past
matron of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 138, past president of the
Confluence Women's Civic Club and a member of the First Christian
Church. There will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service and
an Eastern Star service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday January 7,
2012, at the Chapel at Laurel View Village, Davidsville, PA., Pastor Wes
Yoder officiating. Interment, Lafayette Memorial Park. Contributions may
be made to Carnegie Library for the Blind and Handicapped, 4724 Baum
