Jean J. Juaire, 73, of 2800 W. Farmington Road died Thursday, June 22, 1995, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Jan. 7, 1922, in Newton, Kan., to Francis O. and Margaret Cunningham Juaire, he married Earla M. Brooks on Oct. 15, 1959, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Don (Rita) Hill of Peoria and Mrs. Charles (Patricia) Unrien of Wichita, Kan.; two sons, Francis A. of Howard, Kan., and Jerry of Eureka, Kan.; and one stepson, Larry J. Smith of Elmwood. One brother and three sisters preceded him in death.

A World War II Navy veteran, he was a USS Oklahoma survivor.

He worked for Little Giant Manufacturing Co. for 17 years. He last worked at St. Francis Medical Center in the maintenance department for nine years, retiring in 1985.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, where military rites will be accorded.
