Juliet Richardson, born February 9, 1914 in Mobile, Alabama was the oldest of four children and moved to Gary, Indiana with her grandparents, Reverend Edward and Edith Richardson. Here she accepted Christ at an early age and ending her Gary Public Schools experience at Roosevelt High School. As a young woman, Juliet was very independent. She learned the domestic trade, and took care of homes from Chicago to South Bend, Indiana for over 40 years.
On December 30, 1944, she married Willie Webb and raised her two children. Juliet loved Willie dearly until his death in 1994.
Juliet was a member of the Jerusalem Baptist Church and moved her membership to Beyond 4 Walls Christian Center with her family at their request during her illness.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents; mother, Mary Smith; husband, Willie Webb; brother, Willie (Efola) Graham; sister, Cleo (Pete) Prince; two children, Earl Dudley and Mildred Joan Dear; grandson, Ezekiel Dear, Jr.; and great-grandson, Michael Nichols, Jr.
Cherishing her memory is one sister, Bernice Graham; son-in-law, Ezekiel Dear; granddaughters, Stephanye Dear, Adrienne Dear-Kelly, and Glynnis Dear of Gary, IN, Rochelle Dear of Merrillville, IN and Vickie Evans of California; great-grandsons, Ezekiel Kelly of Jacksonville, FL, David Evans, Jo-Jo Evans of California and Leonard Evans of Gary, IN; great-great-grandchildren, Jacari Kelly, Makayla Evans, and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Visitation/Family hour: 10:00 a.m. Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at Beyond 4 Walls Christian Center, 875 S. Lake Street, Gary, IN. Service at 11:00 a.m. Dr. W. Maurice White, Jr., officiating. Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, Hobart, IN. Services entrusted to:www.manuelfuneralhome.com.
