ARNAUDVILLE - Funeral services for Mr. Dalton Olivier, 76, were held at 2 p.m. today in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church here with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Olivier, a resident and native of Arnaudville, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 1997, in Columbia Doctors' Hospital of Opelousas. He was retired from the St. Landry Parish School Board after working at Arnaudville High School for 19 years.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Roderick and Judy C. Olivier of Denham Springs, and Alvin and Charlene R. Olivier of Arnaudville; a daughter, Mrs. Norris (Linda) Leblanc of Arnaudville; three brothers, Preston Olivier of Lafayette, Russell Olivier and Leland Olivier, both of Arnaudville; six sisters, Mrs. John (Ester) Stelly, Mrs. Lynn (Audrey) Robin, Mrs. Harris (Earline) Olivier and Mrs. Harris (Shirley) Taylor, all of Arnaudville, Mrs. Dolphy (Annie Lou) Hardy of New Orleans and Melanie Olivier of Lafayette; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Olivier was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gladys Duplechain on Jan. 11, 1994; his parents, Arista Olivier and the former Alta Lagrange; and a sister, Eula Mae Dupuis.
