Mrs. Louise Miller Hamilton age 97 of River Meadows Blairsville passed away on Saturday August 23, 2014 surrounded by her loving family in the Union General Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Hamilton was born on Dec. 5, 1916 in Lynchburg, VA., the daughter of the late Radford Miller and the late Cora Smith Miller. Louise loved traveling with her family. She was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Phillip Hamilton in 1981 and also by a son, Phillip Hamilton, two brothers, Emmet Miller and Fred Miller and two sisters, Kathryn McGee and Ann Moran. Mrs. Hamilton attended First Baptist Church in Blairsville. Surviving Mrs. Hamilton are one son and daughter in law, David and Ellen Hamilton of Wetumpka, AL., two daughters and sons in law, Sally Elizabeth and John McConnaughhay of Blairsville, Kathryn Ann and Ronald Bagwell of Homestead, FL., eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral service will be held on Saturday August 30, 2014 from the Culley’s Funeral Home Chapel in Tallahassee, FL. Mrs. Hamilton’s family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Mrs. Hamilton. The family will meet with friends on Saturday from 1-2 pm at the Culley Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Meadow Wood Cemetery.
